Your activities in the countryside in Montpellier
Many green spaces, true breathing zones, dot the city, such as the university plant garden, founded by Henri IV in the 16th century. A historical wonder, you will enjoy strolling through this haven of peace, its shaded alleys, and admiring its impressive diversity of plants and trees, over more than four hectares. This garden was once dedicated to scientific research and is still attached to the Faculty of Medicine today. The Montpellier Zoological Park, which stretches over eighty hectares, is also the city's largest green space. Ideal for a family walk, it has more than 1350 animals, 141 different species and the visit is free!
